As the darkness drowned
M. Fethullah Gulen
Nov 1, 2010
The dawn has broken, dance of colors in the horizon,
The dark breathing its last, lights panting for air.
Fog and smoke dissipate in my vision
There! New spring with its emerald hair.
Like a conquering army, a generation marches forward
The walls of the fortress bent down in awe
Earth and heaven smile at my bliss
To the arch of victory, the paths lead
When all these dreams come true, one by one
Invigorated is the friend’s heart while petrified is the foe’s.
